		<description>I agree with you. The funny thing is I was looking at the Cast Iron site from a computer that did not display the flash movie! But we always felt behind the 8 ball at Pervasive when competing against Cast Iron because their branding and positioning were so strong - even though they were way overpriced and their technology was clunky! </description>

		<description>I&#039;ve looked at both sites, and I agree with you in general.  But the Cast Iron home page has its &quot;challenges,&quot; too.  For example, more than half the real estate above-the-fold is taken up by a Flash movie that takes a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time to load.  Obsessive that I am, I watched the progress bar instead of looking at the site&#039;s content.  That also makes the site a real resource pig (to the point that I had to close the page in order to continue writing this post). 
 
I most agree with you on the message: it has to be simple and written in plain English.  And it has to be repeated often throughout the site.  &quot;Brand&quot; is that feeling about your company that people walk away with after having an interaction with any aspect of it--your website has a pretty big influence on &quot;that feeling.&quot; </description>
